Your Role & Impact:
As Bookkeeper, you’ll be a key player in managing Voyager Access’s day-to-day financial operations. From invoicing and reconciliation to sales tax tracking and vendor payments, your expertise will keep our financial engine running smoothly. You’ll collaborate closely with leadership and operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and continual process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Invoice Management: Draft and submit accurate invoices to customers, ensuring timely and precise billing.
• Expense Tracking: Collect, organize, and file receipts for reimbursable expenses.
• Accounts Receivable: Monitor AR, follow up on past-due invoices, and coordinate with clients and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Banking & Mail: Visit the company mailbox in Golden Valley, MN and deposit checks at a nearby bank twice weekly.
• Vendor Management: Enter and pay vendor bills in QuickBooks accurately and on time.
• Financial Collaboration: Review invoices, payments, and account data with management for accuracy and consistency.
• Tax Compliance: Track and report on sales, use, and income tax information across multiple states.
• Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile financial accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Job Costing: Maintain project-based job costing for accurate tracking of expenses.
• Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for leadership review.
• Document Management: Organize and archive financial records per company policy.
• Process Improvement: Propose and implement improvements to financial workflows and systems.
Work Environment:
Remote Flexibility: Work primarily from home, with occasional in-person tasks (mail pickup, bank deposits) and team meetings.
Location Requirement: Based in or near Minneapolis, MN. Must be able to commute to Golden Valley 2x per week for mailbox check.
Schedule:
Hours: 30–40 hours/week, based on availability.
Timing: Most work will occur during regular business hours (Monday–Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM CT), with flexibility available.
What You’ll Bring:
•Experience & Skills
• 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping or a related financial role, ideally in project-based or service-oriented industries.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Projects.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Multi-state tax tracking and reporting experience (sales, use, and income tax).
• Familiarity with invoicing, AR/AP, job costing, and account reconciliation.
